Sales and Marketing Manager

Position Overview

The Sales and Marketing Manager will play a key leadership role in driving sales growth, strengthening brand presence, and building customer loyalty. This role requires a dynamic, results-driven individual with strong experience in sales, marketing strategy, and team management, preferably within the veterinary, agricultural, or pharmaceutical industries.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Leadership

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company revenue targets.
  • Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team to maximize performance and productivity.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors, veterinary professionals, and farmers.
  • Conduct regular market visits to assess customer needs, monitor competitors, and identify opportunities.
  • Prepare and monitor sales forecasts, budgets, and reports.

Marketing & Brand Development

  • Design and execute innovative marketing campaigns to increase brand awareness.
  • Develop and manage promotional activities, trade shows, and distributor workshops.
  • Ensure consistent brand messaging across digital, print, and in-person channels.
  • Oversee content creation for social media, website, and marketing materials.
  • Leverage customer feedback to improve product positioning and services.

Strategic Growth

  • Conduct market research and identify new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Business Development team to expand product reach into new regions.
  • Support product launches with strategic sales and marketing plans.
  • Track performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of sales and marketing initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, Veterinary Medicine, or Agriculture. A Master’s degree is an added advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in sales and marketing, preferably in the veterinary, animal health, agricultural, or pharmaceutical sectors.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and leading successful marketing campaigns.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in digital marketing tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within Uganda.
