Description
Genta-100 Injection contains gentamicin sulphate equivalent to 100 mg/ml gentamicin, a broad-spectrum aminoglycoside antibiotic used in livestock for the treatment of serious bacterial infections.
It is highly effective against a wide range of Gram-negative bacteria and some Gram-positive organisms. Genta-100 is commonly used in cattle, goats, sheep, and pigs for treating infections of the respiratory tract, gastrointestinal system, urinary tract, and bloodstream.
Gentamicin works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, leading to rapid bacterial death. It is particularly useful in managing severe infections where quick intervention is required under veterinary supervision.
