Vet Centre Champions Poultry Health and Management at the 2025 World Egg Day Expo

From October 9th to 11th, 2025, Vet Centre stood proudly among leading agricultural and poultry industry players at the World Egg Day Expo, hosted at Old Kampala Secondary School. The annual event, organized by the Poultry Association of Uganda (PAU) brought together farmers, agribusiness experts, and veterinary professionals to celebrate one of the world’s most vital foods: the egg.

As a key exhibitor, Vet Centre showcased its commitment to advancing poultry health, productivity, and profitability through innovation and education. Under the banner “Products You Can Rely On,” the company’s presence attracted hundreds of farmers and poultry entrepreneurs eager to learn about veterinary solutions designed for the evolving challenges of modern poultry farming.

Speaking during the expo, Dr. Samantha Barasa, Head of Poultry at Vet Centre, emphasized the company’s dedication to supporting Uganda’s poultry sector through science-driven products and farmer education.

“Healthy birds are the foundation of a healthy business,” said Dr. Barasa. “At Vet Centre, we go beyond supplying products, we empower farmers with the knowledge and tools to make their flocks thrive.”

Throughout the three-day event, Vet Centre’s technical team engaged attendees in live demonstrations, Q&A sessions, and product consultations. Popular veterinary solutions such as Respimint Oral, Biocillin-LA, and Comfort feed drew significant interest from farmers looking to improve respiratory health, enhance immunity, and optimize feed conversion in poultry.

The company also used the platform to share insights on biosecurity, vaccination schedules, and disease prevention strategies, underscoring its integrated approach to livestock management. The participation reaffirmed Vet Centre’s role as not just a supplier, but a partner in animal health and agribusiness growth.

The World Egg Day Expo, themed “Celebrating the Power of the Egg,” highlighted the importance of eggs as a low-cost, high-quality source of protein and a driver of rural livelihoods. Vet Centre’s participation aligned perfectly with its broader mission to strengthen food systems, improve animal welfare, and support sustainable farming practices across Uganda.

“Our involvement in this event reflects our ongoing partnership with farmers,” noted Mr. Rogers Mukisa, a Marketing Executive at Vet Centre. “We are here to ensure that every poultry farmer, from smallholders to commercial producers has access to the right solutions to succeed.”

The Vet Centre team expressed gratitude to the Poultry Association of Uganda for organizing such a vital platform for engagement and learning. The company reaffirmed its commitment to future collaborations that strengthen Uganda’s poultry industry and elevate the standards of veterinary care nationwide.

As the curtains closed on the 2025 World Egg Day Expo, one message was clear: Vet Centre remains a cornerstone of trust, quality, and innovation in Uganda’s animal health sector ensuring that every farmer can rely on products that truly deliver results.
